Our customer, a leading player in the realty market in India was looking at upgrading their legacy messaging infrastructure to meet the increasing demands from within : the workforce wanted anytime, anywhere mobility and access to critical information; the management wanted a secure system that would protect its information against increasingly sophisticated threats while at the same time being cost effective, scalable and reliable; and the IT department wanted to achieve this without compromising IT efficiency and productivity. This was also an opportunity to setup a comprehensive directory services infrastructure that would support their growth and expansion plans. The customer also wanted to standardize on a mobile platform that would provide the best combination of mobility, security, reliability and cost.
Our Enterprise Support Group, by means of a thorough business and technology assessment, provided a comprehensive project plan to migrate from their dated infrastructure, with minimal disruption to end users. This involved co-ordination between the customer's internal IT and the providers of the existing messaging infrastructure. We leveraged our experience and exposure on heterogeneous platforms, coupled with our deep skills on handling large and complex migration projects. We also helped them to narrow down on a mobile platform that integrated seamlessly with their proposed messaging infrastructure, and offered them key features such as seamless synchronization in terms of user interface, mail, contacts and calendar, along with advanced security features remote device wipe in the event of the handsets being lost.
To provide an end to end experience for the customer, our ESG team interacted with device vendors and provided guidance to shortlist and select the most suited devices for their environment. To ensure that the end users were equipped to take advantage of the numerous features and functionalities in the new infrastructure, we also provided comprehensive business productivity sessions, which were aimed at maximizing end user experience and productivity, with the result that were able to exceed customer expectations on every count. This culminated in a superior experience for the customer, at all levels in the organization, right from the executive management to the workforce and IT team.
