eShakti is a women’s fashion with personalized clothing made to the customer’s size and height, and her preference in style. This empowering customer benefit has made eShakti grow 20 times in the last 7 years to leadership. Personalization is not a niche demand but a pervasive and deep need given the diversity in human shapes and sizes. Fulfilment is however hard. eShakti has cracked the code on doing it to scale with the use of technology and unit-production knowhow. Fashion customization that is easy, fast and affordable is the value proposition. With the new eShakti FX, with a click the dress morphs neckline, sleeve and length right in front of her eyes.

The eShakti E-Commerce applications were hosted in a cloud infrastructure and facing major downtime, due to that business was heavily impacted. The underlying hardware and applications security configurations of e-commerce web application was not up to the mark due to the limitations of the cloud service provider. The cloud support services are not approachable, and the critical issues are not resolved with the SLA timelines provided by the service provider. The services degradations are directly impacted the online business of eShakti, the management and IT teams want to migrate their services to the stable cloud platform.

eShakti approached us for a long-time solution with the specific requirements such as availability, Visibility of their application and database infrastructure and industry standard security and compliance deployments for their application and needs to be migrated seamlessly from the exiting cloud datacenter. Our technical team has analysed the applications landscape, collected the current issues, and charted out the migration plan along with the eShakti IT team.

The Widows 2016 EC2 Microsoft IIS web application server was deployed in the Secure Private subnet and the ALB load balancing was configured in the public subnet by allowing only secure 443 ports. The Microsoft SQL server has been deployed as Managed RDS services and enabled the connection only to the application server. Windows 2016 EC2 Internal development server has been configured and established secure VPN Gateway to the On-premises network to do DevOps testing. The Windows 2016 Image server has been provisioned for processing e-commerce clothes images and integrated with the application server. Internal Authoritative windows DNS server is configured for resolving the DNS queries for the websites. S3 Storage is used for storing the backup for the images. The private subnet hosted Windows server are protected through the NAT gateway and all traffic will reach internet using the Internet Gateway.

The e-commerce application is running in the highly available environments without facing any disruptions. Managed application load balancer which increases the availability of website and security by aws security groups. Amazon RDS SQL database services made simple access to databases without involving any underlying server management activities. The cloud infrastructure became more stable and there were no downtime issues. Significant applications performance while accessing the e-commerce portal and its increase end-users shopping experience. Monitoring and Audit compliance of the infrastructure became easier.
